This 8 Days Serengeti, Ngoro Ngoro Crater Safari Tour will take you through the Northern Safari Circuit in Tanzania. Primarily, you will be visiting Amboseli National Park Kenya, Serengeti National Park, and the Ngoro Ngoro Crater.
A visit to the Ngoro Ngoro Crater is an experience of a lifetime. There are few places that have wildlife densities and variety at this level. It is not unusual to see the Big Five in one day-and all this in the most amazing setting with a backdrop of the high crater wall.

Day 1: Nairobi Hotel-Amboseli

You shall be collected from your Nairobi hotel or Airport early morning, drive via Nairobi Mombasa highway to Amboseli. The scenic drive is through open Africa with expansive savannah plains dotted with local homestead colorful Masai tribe’s men and their cattle. Amboseli National park is famous for large herds of elephants and has good view of Africa’s highest mountain, Mt. Kilimanjaro. Game drive en-route to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, embark on an afternoon game drive until sunset in search of wildlife. Dinner and overnight at the lodge or camp of your choice

Day 2: Full Day Exploring Amboseli

After breakfast at the camp, leave the camp for half day game viewing, back to the camp for lunch. Later, continue with the afternoon game drive till 1800hrs. You will have seen the Jumbo elephants of Amboseli among other animals. Later dinner and overnight at the lodge or camp of your choice.

Day 3:Amboseli-Karatu Tanzania

After breakfast, check out and depart for the border town of Namanga. Clear with customs and immigration before crossing on the Tanzanian side. You will be met by our representative and drive to Arusha arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, drive to Karatu. The remainder of the afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight at the lodge or camp.

Day 4: Karatu-Ngoro Ngoro Crater

After breakfast, depart with packed lunches and drive to Ngoro Ngoro Crater. Descend into the 100-square-mile Ngoro Ngoro Crater to view game on the vast grasslands of the crater floor. The bottom of the crater dotted with watering-holes, shelters almost 30 000 animals in an area naturally enclosed by the slopes of the volcano. You will find the Big Five lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard among others. Ngoro Ngoro crater is the largest unbroken caldera in the world and surrounded by very steep walls rising 610 meter from the floor, it is considered to be one of the Wonders of the Natural World and is a veritable haven for wildlife. Spectacular animal life can be found throughout the year due to the permanent availability of grass and water. Picnic lunch at the Hippo Pool, later ascend and arrive at your lodge for a sunset. Dinner and overnight at the lodge or camp of your choice.

Day 5: Ngoro Ngoro-Serengeti

After breakfast drive to Serengeti National Park, you will arrive at the Naabi hills gate and after formalities you will enter Serengeti and probably the greatest park on earth. This park, undoubtedly one of the most famous in the world, covers over 14 000 sq. km and offers amongst many other things the biggest concentration of big cats in the world (Cheetahs, Lions, Leopards, Wild cats…). Many different landscapes can be found in the Serengeti: Savannah with the big plains to the south, hills & woods to the west, the kopjes area to the east, and bush land to the north. Important rivers (Seronera, Banagi, and Grumeti) also run through the park. Many different species of mammals can be spotted during game drives, elephant, buffalo, giraffes, antelopes… hippo and crocodile can also be found. Diner and overnight at the lodge or camp of your choice.

Day 6: Full Day Exploring Serengeti

Full day in Serengeti National park with morning and afternoon game drives. Overnight at the lodge or camp of your choice

Day 7: Serengeti-Tarangire

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National park. Tarangire national park Tanzania third largest national park and sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lion, leopard, cheetah, and up to six thousand elephants. Arrive at your lodge in time for check in and lunch. Afternoon game drive. Meals and overnight at the lodge or camp of your choice.

Day 8: Tarangire-Arusha/Kilimanjaro Airport

After breakfast at the lodge, check out and drive to Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight back home.
