Day 1: Arrive Nairobi Kenya Fly to Maasai Mara

As soon as you disembark the aircraft from your international flight you will receive a warm welcome from a friendly representative who will escort you through immigration, customs and baggage collection and they will remain with you until you meet your driver in the arrivals area. You will then be transferred to the domestic airport where you’ll board a light aircraft flight to the Masai Mara.

Upon arrival at the Masai Mara you will be met by a representative and driven to your safari lodge or camp where you will stay for the next four nights.

We use a number of different award-winning safari camps and luxury lodges within the Masai Mara and we will ensure that we match you to the most suitable accommodation for your requirements and sense of style.

Day 2: Maasai Mara National Reserve Kenya

During the next three days you’ll enjoy two game drives per day on the plains of Masai Mara where you’ll spot an abundance of African wildlife.

Day 3: Exploring Maasai Mara with game drives

This iconic reserve offers amazing wildlife viewing opportunities and it’s highly likely that you’ll see the zebra, impala, gazelle, wildebeest, buffalo, rhino and the elephant. Plus, you might also bump into lions, cheetahs and leopards.

Day 4: On safari in Maasai Mara National Reserve

Your lodge or camp may also offer the opportunity for a night game drive where you’ll see nocturnal animals such as aardvarks and honey badgers.

As well as game drives, there are a range of other optional activities you can participate in during your time in Masai Mara, including cultural visits to Maasai villages and markets, guided bush walks, horse riding, black rhino tracking experiences. You may wish to book an early morning hot air balloon flight over the plains and forests of Masai Mara.

Day 5: fly to Zanzibar & transfer to Beach

Today you’ll enjoy an early morning game drive before being driven to the airstrip in time for your scheduled light aircraft flight to Nairobi where you’ll board a connecting flight to the exotic island of Zanzibar.

You will be met by our representative on arrival in Zanzibar and driven to your accommodation where you will stay for the next four nights. We offer a range of accommodation options on the island and we will ensure that we match you to the most suitable accommodation for your requirements and sense of style – whether that is a rustic beach lodge or a luxurious 5 star resort.

Day 6: Zanzibar Beaches

With its golden sunsets, beautiful sandy beaches, clear turquoise waters and colorful coral reefs, Zanzibar is the perfect honeymoon destination. The islands’ best beaches include Bwejuu on the southeast coast, Michamvi, on the central east coast, Nungwi Beach on the northwest coast and Matemwe on the northeast of the island.

Day 7: Zanzibar Beaches

You can relax on one of Zanzibar’s palm-fringed beaches. If you prefer to be active, there are a wide choice of optional adventure activities that you can participate in, including mountain biking, hiking, bird watching, wind surfing, kite surfing, sea kayaking and sailing.

Plus, the island has fantastic coral reefs which are perfect for diving and snorkeling – and you may even be lucky enough to see dolphins, green turtles and, at certain times of the year, whale sharks.

Day 8: Zanzibar Beaches

Today you can enjoy another day on the paradise island of Zanzibar. Should you wish to discover the island, there are plenty of excursions that you can join, including visits to historic Stone Town, Jozani Forest, Prison Island, spice plantations and cultural tours to local villages.

All excursions are optional. Please discuss options with your luxury travel consultant at the initial enquiry stage so that they can be added to your tailor-made holiday.

Day 9: Zanzibar Beaches

An optional excursion for today is a trip to Matemwe on the northeast of the island. The pristine beach in Matemwe is the longest on the island and among the palm trees at the back of the beach you’ll find Swahili fishing villages where local people live traditional lives dominated by fishing.

Around two kilometer offshore, just beyond the main reef, is the famous Mnemba Atoll, surrounded by pristine and very accessible coral reefs. This area offers the best diving on the island and you’re likely to see bottlenose dolphins, turtles, Spanish dancers, giant groupers, sharks, barracudas and other marine life.

Day 10: Zanzibar Beaches

Today you may wish to visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Stone Town where you can learn about Zanzibar’s Swahili culture and history. You can discover the Old Town with its colorful bazaars, winding alleyways and ancient stone houses.

You can explore the old Dhow Port, Slave Market, Sultan’s Palace, Portuguese Fort, the House of Wonders, Livingstone House and the Persian baths of Kidichi.

Day 11: Zanzibar Beaches

You are free to spend the last full day of your honeymoon relaxing on the beach.

After breakfast, you’ll check out of your accommodation and be driven to Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (ZNZ) for your flight home.
